Success?

It'd be great if someone could clarify the success of this system - it's categorized as a failure, but the first paragraph mentions that it was successful and made $8 million. Company Microvision

First handheld system?!

So here it is the first handheld system, well not quite cos I belive there had been several before this handheld was releaced in 1979. Including Coleco's Mattel Auto Race,Mattel Electronic Football and Electronic Quarterback and Atari's touch me, releaced in 1976, 1977 and 1978 respectively though there is no denying the fact that this is one of the the first handhelds being launched some 10 years prior to the original GameBoy. mcjakeqcool Mcjakeqcool (talk) 12:06, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Right, but the name is quite misleading. What it means by "first handheld game console" is a portable "home video game console", which a "home video game console" is supposed to be a video game console with interchangeable game media. That is what it's supposed to mean. The games you mentioned are indeed portable, but are not "home video game consoles", but "dedicated consoles". However! This statement, "very first handheld game console" is probably not true. Educational gaming handheld Texas Instrument Speak & Spell which came out in 1978 with interchangeable cartridges, Anybody? Release date confusion?

Some other credible sources like Marriot_Guy from the video game library website claims that the Microvision was released in 1978? I keep finding two conflicting dates, 1978, and this date wiki has up, 1979. Which is right? This probably needs investigation. Charmugen (talk) 23:52, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Photo/pic descriptor

When you click on the InfoBox graphic of the Microvision, you're taken to another 'page' where, at the bottom there is a caption/descriptor of the photo/pic.

Though a minor error or typo, within the first few words the photo/pic is described as showing the BACK of the unit.

Obviously that is not correct. What the photo/pic shows is the FRONT of the Microvision ! ! !
