Yagya Raj Joshi (Template:Lang-ne) is a Nepalese politician currently serving as the Governor of Karnali Province.[1][2][3][4] He was appointed Governor, as per the Article 163 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal by the President Ram Chandra Poudel on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Nepal on 1 August 2024.[5][6][7][8]

Political and Social Services and Experience:

1. Worked and served  as founder, editor and reporter in Farwestern’s "Mahakali Saptahik" (Later Mahakali Daily, 2043), constantly raised his voice in favor of democracy.

2. Mahadiveshan and Mahasamiti member from from 8th to 14th Mahadiveshan.

3. Elected as mayor in 2048/2049 BS.

4. Elected as Kanchanpur district’s "Party president" of Nepali congress (2062/2063)

5. Amantrit (invited) central committee member during Sushil Koirala’s presidency.

6. Elected as Central committee member of Nepali congress (14th Mahadiveshan).

7. 6 months in prison during the direct reign of King Gyanendra.
