WNS (Holdings) Limited (NYSEWNS) is an Indian multinational business process management company. The company is headquartered in New York, London and Mumbai.[4][5][6]

The company employs over 62,000 individuals. WNS is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol WNS.[7]

History

WNS Global Services was established in 1996 as a carve-out of British Airways captive process and back-office activities. In 2002, Warburg Pincus acquired a majority stake, following which WNS became an independent entity.[8] The company expanded into other industries in 2003, and by 2004, new delivery centers were opened in Sri Lanka and India.[9][10]

In 2005, WNS acquired Trinity Partners.[11] The company went public in 2006, listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). WNS subsequently acquired Marketics (2007),[12] Aviva Global Services (2008), and Denali Sourcing Services (2017).[13][14]

Later acquisitions included Vuram (2022), The Smart Cube, and OptiBuy (2023).[15][16][17][18]

Operations

WNS has 66 delivery centers located in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, China, Costa Rica, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Poland, Romania, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Turkey.[19]
