India Ahead is an English-language news channel in India operated by the Andhra Prabha Media Group. Launched in July 2018, the channel broadcasts news, current affairs, entertainment, sports, politics, and business content.[1] The channel's headquarters are in Hyderabad, India, with studios also located in Delhi.[2] It offers coverage from both Indian and international perspectives.

History

India Ahead is an Indian news channel initially led by Chetan Sharma, who served as the Founding CEO and Editorial Director.[3] In June 2020, significant changes were announced in the channel's senior management by the Andhra Prabha Group's Managing Director, Mootha Goutam.

Sudeep Mukhia, formerly of CNN-News18, joined India Ahead as Group President, overseeing News Room Operations and Editorial Strategies. Bhupendra Chaubey was appointed Editor-in-Chief, and Sudha Sadanand became Editorial President.[4] These appointments aimed to enhance the channel's editorial and operational capabilities.

Ratings

During Budget Week, the channel reportedly achieved the No. 1 ranking among English News Channels in India based on average viewer time spent.[5]

Distribution

India Ahead is available on major direct-to-home platforms and cable television operators[6] as a Free-to-Air channel.[7] A mobile app is also available on the Google Play store[8] and the App Store.
