Special wards of Tokyo
Ku (区), or "Special Wards" are districts within metropolitan areas of Japanese cities. Tokyo has 23 such special wards. Each ward is about the size of an urban zip code (i.e. Manhattan would probably have about 10 ku 区 in it).
