The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II is a video game which is to be the sequel to The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth. It is set in the northern regions of Middle-Earth. Known factions include the Elves, Dwarves, Men of the West (a combination of Gondor and Rohan) and Goblins of Mirkwood, along with large additions to the other evil factions. The gameplay is set to include naval battles, larger battalions, and more liberated basebuilding than the first Battle for Middle-Earth game. A release date has not been anounced, but it will probably be released in December of 2005.
