Mick Barnard was a guitarist in the band Farm. He was hired as a temporary replacement with Genesis after the departure of Anthony Phillips. He was in the band from September 1970 to December 1970, when they hired Steve Hackett as Phillips' permanent replacement. Mick is also a skilled drummer, flautist and pianist, and has been classically schooled in the accordion, triangle, Jew's harp, and duck call. He also came up with the idea of Peter Gabriel to wear costumes.
