Téméraire was a 74-gun ship of the line of the French Navy, launched in 1749.[1]
She was captured at the Battle of Lagos on 18 August 1759, by HMS Warspite, and was taken into the Royal Navy as the third rate HMS Temeraire.[1]
Temeraire was sold out of the navy in 1784.[1]
