Jack River is a small settlement in Gippsland, about 12 km West of Yarram. The Jack River rises in the Strzlecki Ranges and flows through Jack River at O'Callaghan's Bridge to join the Albert River, which flows into Corner inlet near Port Albert. The Jack River Rural Fire Brigade was formed in 1947. The all-volunteer Brigade welcomes new members. If you would like to join the Brigade, contact the Country Fire Authority's regional office in Sale on 18 0066 5954.
