This is a list of multiple births, consisting of notable multiple births and pregnancies that were greater than twins, such as triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets, sextuplets, septuplets, and higher orders. Although high-order multiple births have always existed, they have become much more common with the use of reproductive technology such as fertility drugs and in vitro fertilization (IVF). As multiple pregnancies are more risky to the babies (as well as the mother), some of the fetuses may die in utero, and so it is not always clear from old news reports exactly how large the set was. For example, consider a case of one stillborn child and six living babies, one of which dies within hours; this may have entered the historic record as quintuplets, although now it would be considered a set of sextuplets, or possibly even septuplets, depending on definitions.

  • The Keys quadruplets (born June 4,1915 in Hollis, Oklahoma) were the first same-sex quadruplets known to survive to adulthood. They attended Baylor University on scholarship and graduated in 1937. The eldest, Roberta Keys Torn, celebrated her 90th birthday in 2005.[1]
  • The Johnson quadruplets (born in 1935 in Dunedin, New Zealand) were the first surviving set in Australasia.[2]
  • The Badgett quadruplets (born February 1, 1939 in Galveston, Texas) were the second surviving set of quadruplets in the United States. The four girls, Geraldine, Joan, Jeanette and Joyce, were minor celebrities in the 1940s and 1950s.[3]
  • The Fultz quadruplets born May 23, 1946 in Rockingham County, North Carolina: the first identical African American quads on record.[4]
  • The Harris quadruplets born June 30, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois. the 2nd identical African American quad girls to survive.[5]
  • The Alexander quadruplets (born September 2, 1967 in Auckland, New Zealand) were the first set of identical quadruplets born in New Zealand.[6]
  • The identical Hansen quadruplets (born October 24, 1974 in San Antonio, Texas) are Alison, Brooke, Claire, and Darcy. The sisters have appeared on the The Tonight Show and other talk shows. They attended Baylor University on academic scholarships and graduated in 1997.[7]
  • The Steeves quadruplets (born December 17, 1982 in Calgary, Alberta) were the first identical set to be born in Canada.[8][9]
  • The Tambassis quadruplets (born September 28, 1989 in Sydney, Australia) are in birth order Dimitrios (James), Aphroditi (Fiona), Kyriakos (Kurt), and Despina (Debbie). They are currently residing in Sydney, Australia. They were conceived naturally to Con and Helen Tambassis.
  • The identical Furtick quadruplets (born June 21, 1990 in New York City) are Kevin, Jason, Keith, and Victor. Their mother, who did not plan on having another child after the murder of her 17-year-old son in 1989, became pregnant unexpectedly at the age of 39.[10][11]
  • The Boyle quadruplets (born July 4, 1990 in Indianapolis, Indiana) are Douglas, Rebecca, Frances, and Laura. They were featured in the Kodak Photo of the Century in 2000.[12]
  • The identical Jackson quadruplets (born in 1992 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) are Jessica, Mackenzie, Meredith, and Stephanie. Their parents, Stephen and Regina, adopted the four sisters, making them the first identical African-American quadruplets to be adopted in the United States. They have been on the Bill Cosby show, the Maury show, The Today Show, NBC, BET, have been in a twins/multiples calendar, in a issue of the JET magazine and have been in a few commercials (like a commercial for an old Downtown Fredericksburg store called Fundamentals). Currently they live in Fredericksburg, VA.[13]
  • The identical Durst quadruplets (born February 10, 1993 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota) are the first set to have lived to adolescence in Minnesota.[14]
  • The Lomaka quadruplets (born October 8, 1993 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) are in birth order Gregory (Greg), Stephen (Steve), Christopher (Chris), and Katherine (Kate). They are currently residing in Richmond, Virginia. They are "middle children" as they have an older sister (Lauren) and a younger brother (Matthew, who goes by Matt). They were conceived naturally to Tina and Steve Lomaka.
  • The identical Grady quadruplets (born April 8, 1998 in Iowa City, Iowa) were one of two sets to be delivered at the same hospital in a two-day period.[15]
  • The Brino quadruplets (born September 21, 1998 in Woodland Hills, California) played the twins Sam and David Camden on the television series 7th Heaven. When they all started to look different, the only girl of the set, Myrinda, stopped appearing on the show. Only Nikolas and Lorenzo have starred on the show since then.[16]
  • The identical Mathias quadruplets (born February 16, 2000 in Lexington, South Carolina) are Grace, Emily, Mary Claire and Anna. A home movie of the girls laughing in unison was featured on America's Funniest Home Videos. Their family was awarded over $250,000 as a result.[17][18]
  • The Morris quadruplets (born August 13, 2004) were born to Geana and Kurt Morris of Glenolden, Pennsylvania. The Quads are double identical twins. A set of identical boys and a set of identical girls. James Russell (3 lbs.), Robert (Robby) Wayne (3 lbs. 11oz.), Anna Rose (3 lbs. 9oz.) and Ella Kathleen (2 lbs. 7 oz.) The couple also had a two year old son, Sammy, who was one of triplets at conception (the identical twins did not make it through the 12th week).
  • The Jepp quadruplets (born August 12, 2007 in Great Falls, Montana) were the first identical set to be born to a Canadian family since 1982. Autumn, Brooke, Calissa and Dahlia were born in the United States due to hospitals in their hometown of Calgary, Alberta being at full capacity.[19]
  • Adeleke quadruplets were born in Howard University Hospital, Washington DC to Salihu Adeleke a.k.a Hajmaja and Folashade Princess Omoyele of Odenton Md on July 1, 2009. They were born at 34 weeks of pregnancy. Mubarak, Amir, Khalifa, Amira. They are the first Native African quadruplets in North America.They ranged in weight from 3 pounds 4 ounces to 4 pounds 6 ounces. The shortest baby is 16.25 inches, and the longest is 17 inches.
  • Geoghegan quadruplets (3 boys and one girl) were born in North Shore University Hospital, NY on May 5, 2004. They were born at 34 weeks. At birth the Geoghegan quadruplets had 3 year old twin siblings.

Quintuplets (5)

Natural quintuplets are rare: once in 50 million pregnancies.

  • The identical Dionne quintuplets (born May 28, 1934 near Corbeil, Ontario, Canada) were the first quintuplets known to survive infancy. They were also the only set of identical quints known to live into adulthood.[20]
  • The Fischer quintuplets (born September 14, 1963 in Aberdeen, South Dakota) were the first known surviving set of American quintuplets. They consisted of one boy and four girls.[21][22]
  • The Lawson quintuplets (born July 27, 1965 in New Zealand) were the first set of surviving quintuplets conceived through the use of fertility medication.[22]
  • The Hanson quintuplets (born November 13,1969 in London) were the first set to survive in the United Kingdom, as well as the second surviving set of all-female quintuplets, after the Dionne sisters.[23]
  • The Kienast quintuplets of Liberty Corners, New Jersey (born February 24, 1970) were the first surviving set of American quintuplets conceived through fertility medication.[24][25]
  • A set of quintuplets consisting of three boys and two girls was born in Gdańsk, Poland in 1971.[26]
  • The Ward quints were born in England on June 2 1980 at the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, Kent. Consisting of 4 boys and 1 girl. In age order:- Lucy, Robert, Stephen, James and Andrew.
  • A set of quintuplets consisting of three boys and two girls were born in Rochester, NY on March 17, 1981 to Timothy and Corinne Beach. The boys were named Timothy, John and Patrick, and the girls named Corinne and Deborah. However, son Timothy died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome at the age of four and one half months.[27]
  • The Gaither quintuplets of Indianapolis, Indiana (born August 3, 1983) were the first surviving African-American quintuplets and were one of only three naturally-conceived U.S. sets in 1993.[28][29][30]
  • The Al-Ghamdi quintuplets (born February 2, 1988 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) were the first set to be born in Saudi Arabia. Saeed Al-Ghamdi and his wife, Salha, had five boys.[31]
  • The Chandler Quintuplets were born in May 1989. Parents Jeri and Peter, have one older son Zach. The Quints... Megan, Josh, Emily, Amanda and Heidi are all now in college. Following their high school graduation from Peak to Peak High School, Lafayette, Colorado... the family appeared on the Today show and Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? with Jeff Foxworthy. The Chandlers attend five different colleges in five different states.
  • On the 13th June 1989 in the UK the Hale/Hiscock quins were born - Daniel, Rebecca, Louise, Thomas and Matthew.
  • The Chin quintuplets (born April 1, 1997 in Singapore City, Singapore were the first quintuplets to be conceived in The KK Hospital for Women and Children. All survived. They were Adriel, Alicia, Amanda, Annabelle and Andre Chin.[32]
  • The Morris Quintuplets born July 10 and 13th, 1994 in Topeka, KS. Four girls and one boy. Mallory Quinn, Jordan Quinn, Evan Quinton, Kasey Quinn and Holly Quinn. Weighing between 1 lbs 2.4 ounces and 1 lbs 10 ounces. The boy died seventeen days after birth. They are the first recorded Quints in Kansas.
  • On February 18, 2000, a set of quintuplets, consisting of four girls and a boy, were born at the CZMP health center in Łódź, Poland. A year later, in February 2001, another set of quintuplets (four boys and a girl), was born at the same hospital.[26]
  • The Cassidy quintuplets were born in Dublin, Ireland on August 16, 2001 to Veronica and Kevin Cassidy of Wexford. The three boys and two girls, Conor James, Amy Dorothy, Cian Richard, Rory Kevin and Dearbhail Mary are the first quintuplets to have been born in Ireland.[33][34][35]
  • In November, 2002 the Loughran quintuplets were born in Belfast.this rare set consist of 2 set identical (Aaron & Conan, Alana & Aine)and a red hair fraternal girl Caitlin [36]
  • In July 2003, a set of quintuplets (three girls and two boys) were born during the 25th week of pregnancy at the Neonatology Clinic of the Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum in Kraków, Poland. One of the girls did not survive.[26] In April 2008, the same clinic welcomed another set of quintuplets consisting of five girls (Julia, Maja, Karolinka, Natalka and Oliwia) who were born prematurely in the 26th week of pregnancy to Paulina and Piotr Szymkiewicz.[37][38]
  • The Denny quintuplets were born to Steven and Lyndsey Denny of Bakersfield, California on October 17, 2003. The children are called Julian Matthew, Jilliana Hattie, Anthony Frank, Joshua Stanley, and Alexis Diana Denny.[39]
  • The Brooks quintuplets were born to Kate and David Brooks on October 10, 2006 in Kansas City, Missouri. There are three girls (Ruth Elizabeth, Helen Marie and Emily Jayne) and two boys (Owen David and Jesse William) in the set.[40]
  • The Stevenson quintuplets, four girls (Belle, Aniston, Scarlett and Camilee) and one boy (Weston), were born in Seattle Washington March 30, 2006. The Stevensons also have an older daughter Lilli.
  • The Ziemliński quintuplets, three boys and two girls, were born in Poznań, Poland on November 2, 2006.[41]
  • The Ferrill quintuplets were born at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on December 21, 2006 to Jenny and Pete Ferrill of Danville, Illinois. The Ferrills, both of whom work in social services, suffered two miscarriages before utilizing fertility medication that resulted in quintuplets. The three boys (Landyn Konner, Layne Mykel and Drayden Karter) and two girls (Irelyn Kadyn and Kieran Skye), nicknamed the "Ferrill Five," were born at 31 weeks and were the subject of a documentary on TLC titled Quint-Essential that aired in late fall 2007.[42][43]
  • The Wright quintuplets, Payton, Landon, Ethan, Jenna and Sydney, were born on February 15, 2007 in Evansville, Indiana. The parents of the three boys and two girls, Rob and Emily Wright, live in Princeton.[44]
  • The Wilkinson quintuplets (born July 31, 2007 in Phoenix, Arizona) were born to Jayson and Rachelle Wilkinson of Cedar Park, Texas. The quints, three girls and two boys, are: Kassidy, Kaydence, Kyndall, Rustin and Ryder. They currently hold the record for the highest combined birthweight of a set of quintuplets at 21 lb (9.52 kg).[45]
  • The Chavez quintuplets, two boys (Joseph and Jacob) and three girls (Lilly, Michaela, and Jenna) were born sometime in 2007. They were featured on the Discovery Heath channel show Multiples and Mayhem.
  • The Artamkin quintuplets consisting of five girls, Elizaveta, Alexandra, Nadezhda, Tatiana and Varvara, were born on November 10, 2007 to Russian parents at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford, England.[46]
  • The Phillips Quintuplets, 2 boys (John Daniel and David James) and 3 girls (Rebecca Jenne (Becca), Alison Marie (Ali) and Katelyn Elizabeth (Kate), were born on October 25, 2008
  • The Ferrante quintupletswere born in Staten Island, NY at Staten Island Hospital on December 27, 2008. The quintuplets in birth order are: Alessia Louise, Amanda Frances, Emily Ann, Matthew Sabatino, and Ella Lilliana. They weighed between 1 lb 8oz and 2 lbs 4.5 oz. These are the only children for Kevin and Jamie Ferrante
  • The Jones quintuplets were born in Austin, Texas at Seton Hospital on January 16, 2009. Brooklyn Faith, Britton Grace, Jack William, Lila Addison, Ryan Elizabeth were all born between 2 lbs 2oz and 2 lbs 13oz. Ethan and Casey Jones also have an older daughter Eliot.
  • The Maskell-Mistalski quintuplets were born in Buffalo, New York at Women & Children's Hospital on October 1, 2009. The three girls were Kayla Lizabeth, Anna Belle Americus and Ramona Wednesday and two boys Justin Michael and Tyler Jackson weight 1 pound to 1 lbs 11 oz. John Mistalski and Bridget Maskell also had twins, Aimee Jo and Brandon.

Sextuplets (6)

  • A set of sextuplets were born on October 2, 1968 in Birmingham, England to Barry and Sheila Thorns. They were the first sextuplets known to have been born alive in the United Kingdom, but one baby died shortly after birth, and two within the next two weeks.[47][48][49][50]
  • The Rosenkowitz sextuplets (born on January 11, 1974 in Cape Town, South Africa) were the first sextuplets known to survive their infancy.[51]
  • The Giannini sextuplets (born on January 11, 1980 in Italy) were the second sextuplets known to survive their infancy.[52]
  • The Walton sextuplets (born on November 18, 1983 in Liverpool) were the first sextuplets born in the United Kingdom known to survive their infancy, and the world's first all-female sextuplets.[53]
  • The Dilley sextuplets (born on May 25, 1993 in Indianapolis, Indiana) were the first surviving set of sextuplets in the United States. They are 2 girls (Brenna Rose and Claire Diane) and 4 boys (Julian Emerson, Quinn Everett, Ian Michael, and Adrian Reed).[54]
  • The Vince sextuplets (born May 19, 1993 in Leeds, England) were the third set born in England. The 1 boy (Gregory) and 4 girls (Rebecca, Katie, Stephanie, Jessica, Valerie) weighed between 2 lbs 4.5 oz - 3 lbs 1.5 oz.[55]
  • The Boniello sextuplets (born March 24, 1997 in Stony Brook, New York) set a record for the longest gestation of a sextuplet pregnancy in the United States at 29 weeks and one day.[56]
  • The Thompson sextuplets (born June 2, 1997 in Washington, D.C.) were born to Jacqueline and Linden Thompson and are the nation's first Black sextuplets. Mrs. Thompson set the record for the longest sextuplet pregnancy at 29 weeks and six days. One of the children, a daughter, was stillborn. The five survivors are four girls, Octavia Daniela, Stella Kimberly, Ann Marie Amanda, and Emily Elizabeth and one boy, Richard Linden. Doctors said they have no major health problems. They each weighed between 2 pounds, 2 ounces and 2 pounds, 6 ounces and were delivered by Caesarean section.[57]
  • The Headrick sextuplets born April 6, 2002 in Wichita, Kansas, were the first set of sextuplets born in Kansas. The births increased the population of the Headrick's hometown of Rago, Kansas, from 12 to 18. The sextuplets are made up of 3 boys (Ethan Roy, Grant Dougles and Sean Edward) and 3 girls (Melissa Sue, Jaycie Linette and Danielle Patrice).[58]
  • The Harris sextuplets, born on July 7, 2002, are 2 girls (Kiera Christine and Kalynne Antoinett) and 4 boys (Kaleb Reddrick, Kobe Byshari, Kieran Anthony and Kyle Jacob). They are Alabama's first set of sextuplets, and were the first recorded set of surviving African-American sextuplets.[59]
  • The Van Houten sextuplets born January 7, 16 & 17, 2004 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and reside in Hamilton, Michigan. They are four boys (Gerrit, Nolan, Peyton and John) and 2 girls (Samantha and Kennedy).
  • The Hanselman sextuplets (born February 26, 2004 in Akron, Ohio) are the first sextuplets to have been born in Ohio. They are 3 girls (Isabella Jean, Sophia Ivy and Lucy Arlene) and 3 boys (Kyle Allen, Logan James and Alex Edwin). They also have an older brother, Connor.[60]
  • The Gosselin sextuplets (born May 10, 2004 in Hershey, Pennsylvania) were born just shay of 30 weeks gestation to parents Jon and Kate Gosselin. The set has three girls (Alexis Faith, Hannah Joy, and Leah Hope) and three boys (Aaden Jonathan, Collin Thomas, Joel Kevin). The parents also have twin girls, Madelyn Kate and Cara Nicole, who were 3 at the time of the sextuplets' birth.[61][62] The family is the subject of a reality television show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, that currently airs on TLC in the U.S and Canada.
  • The Hayes sextuplets (born September 14, 2004 in Long Branch, New Jersey) are the first surviving sextuplets to be born in New Jersey. The six children - three boys (Ryan Peter, Connor James, Eric John) and three girls (Tara Rose, Rachel Ann, Rebecca Mary) - weighed a total of 24 pounds and 14 ounces, a world record for the heaviest set of sextuplets. The Hayeses also have two sets of twins, Kevin and Kyle, 8 years old and Kieran and Meghan, 5 years old at the time of their brothers' and sisters' birth. They are the only family in the United States to have two sets of twins and a set of sextuplets.[63] The family is the subject of a reality television show, Table for 12, on TLC in the U.S.[64]
  • Canada's first sextuplets (born January 6 and 7, 2007 in Vancouver, British Columbia) were born at 25 weeks gestation. The parents who wanted to remain anonymous are Jehovah's Witnesses and refused critical blood transfusions to save the babies. Two of the babies died shortly after being born, and the rest were seized by the Ministry of Children. The babies were later returned to the parents. As of January 23, 2007, four of the six babies survive.[65][66]
  • The Morrison sextuplets (born June 10, 2007 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) were born to Ryan and Brianna Morrison. They were born at 22 weeks and 6 days gestation and weighed between 11 ounces and 1 pound 3 ounces. As of July 23, 2007, five have died (Tryg Brenton, Bennet Ryan, Cadence Alana, Lincoln Sean, and Lucia Rae). Only one survives (Sylas Christopher, 15oz & 10 1/2 inches at birth).[67][68][69]
  • The Masche sextuplets (born June 11, 2007 in Phoenix, Arizona) were born to Bryan and Jenny Masche 10 hours after the Morrison sextuplets. Bailey Elizabeth, Savannah Jane, Molli Grace, Cole Robert, Blake Nikolas and Grant William were born at 30 weeks gestation.[70]
  • The Byler sextuplets (born September 1, 2007 in St. Petersburg, Florida) are Florida's first sextuplets. Conceived with the aid of fertility drugs, there are five boys and one girl: Brady Christopher, Eli Benjamin, Ryan Patrick, Jackson Robert, Charlie Craig, and MacKenzie Margaret.[71]
  • The Conway sextuplets were born on 22 May 2009 by Caesarian section 14 weeks premature at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast to Nuala and Austin Conway from the Dunamore area of County Tyrone in Northern Ireland. The 4 girls (Ursula, Shannon, Karla, and Kerrie) and 2 boys (Austin and Eoghan), weighed between 1 lb 7oz and 2 lb 2oz. Kerrie Mae died 60 days after birth.[4] [5]
  • The Stansel sextuplets (born August 4, 2009 in Houston, Texas) were born to Thomas and Amanda Stansel, 22 weeks 6 days into pregnancy. The four girls (Ashlyn Louise, Haley Karin, Kaitlyn Amanda and Rachel Diane) and two boys (Braden Thomas and Dallin Cory) weight 12 ounces to more than a pound. Braden, Dallin and Kaitlyn died in 13 days, and two months later, Ashlyn (12.3 oz)died on October 11, 2009. [6]

Septuplets (7)

  • The first account of septuplets being born was to a 15th century couple, Thomas Bonham (d. 1473) and Edith Bonham (d. 1469) of Wiltshire, England. They were described as having "seven children at one birth" several years after becoming the parents of twins.[72]
  • The Frustaci septuplets (born May 21, 1985 in Orange, California) were the first septuplets to be born in the United States. Born at 28 weeks, only three of the seven survived, with one baby being stillborn and three dying within 19 days of birth.[73]
  • The McCaughey septuplets (born November 19, 1997 in Des Moines, Iowa) were the world's first surviving set of septuplets. The four boys (Kenneth Jr., Brandon, Nathan and Joel) and three girls (Alexis, Natalie and Kelsey) were born at 31 weeks, weighing between 2 lb 5ozs and 3 lb 4ozs.[74][75][76]
  • The Humair septuplets (born January 14, 1998 in Abha, Saudi Arabia) were the world's second surviving set of septuplets, born at 32 weeks to a 40-year-old mother, Hasna Mohammed Humair and her husband Abdullah Mohammed Ali. They had been told to expect four babies.[77][78][79]
  • The Qahtani septuplets (born July 12, 2001 in Washington, D.C.) were delivered by Dr. Mutahar Fauzia and are the fourth set of septuplets to live past infancy.[80][81][82] In December 2001, it was reported that one of the septuplets had died of liver failure and three were still hospitalized.[83]
  • A set of septuplets were born on April 18, 2007 in a suburb of Algiers, Algeria to Farhat and Souhila Touile. One of the babies, a boy, was stillborn; the remaining six are all girls.[84][85][86]
  • On August 16, 2008, Ghazala Khamis, a 27-year-old Egyptian, gave birth to septuplets in the city of Alexandria, Egypt. This is the fifth set of surviving septuplets. The newborns, four boys and three girls, had been placed in incubators in four different hospitals since they were premature. The babies' weights range from 1.45 to 2.8 kilograms (3.2 to 6.2 lb). The mother took fertility drugs in order to produce a son, since she already had three daughters.[87][88]

Octuplets (8)

  • The first confirmed birth of octuplets occurred on March 10, 1967 in Mexico City, Mexico to Maria Teresa López de Sepulveda. All of the babies—four boys and four girls—died within 13 hours of birth.[89][90][91]
  • The Chianese octuplets (born August 16, 1979 in Naples, Italy) were born to Pasqualina and Stefano Chianese. Six of the babies died and two survived. The couple had previously lost a set of sextuplets in 1976.[92][93][94][95][96]
  • A set of octuplets were born on December 20, 1985 to Sevil Capan of İzmir, Turkey. Born prematurely at 28 weeks, six of the octuplets died within 12 hours of birth, and the remaining two died within three days.[79][97]
  • A set of octuplets were born between September 30 and October 2, 1996 in a hospital in South London, United Kingdom to Mandy Allwood of Solihull. Allwood was only 19 weeks pregnant when she went into preterm labour with her 6 boys (Adam, Cassius, Donald, Kypros, Martyn, and Nelson) and 2 girls (Layne and Kitali). None of her octuplets survived.[98] She had refused selective reduction and her case provoked a media storm in the UK.
  • A set of octuplets were born on December 5, 1996 in Huelva, Spain to Rosario Clavijo. Two of them were stillborn and six survived.[79][99]
  • The Chukwu octuplets were born in December 1998 in Houston, Texas, United States. The smallest of the octuplets, Odera, died a week after birth.[100]
  • A set of octuplets were born between September 13 and September 16, 2000 in Milan, Italy to Mariella Mazzara and Giovanni Pierrera of Trapani. One died immediately after birth, two within a few days of birth, and the oldest, Margherita, died a month later on October 10.[101][102]
  • On January 26, 2009, the Suleman octuplets were born in Bellflower, California, United States.[103][104]. One week after birth, the Suleman octuplets became the longest-living octuplets in known history.[105] The children's names are Noah Angel, Maliyah Angel, Isaiah Angel, Nariyah Angel, Jonah Angel, Jeremiah Angel, Makai Angel, and Josiah Angel.

Nonuplets (9)

  • A set of nonuplets were born on June 13, 1971 in Sydney, Australia to Geraldine Brodrick. None of the five boys and four girls lived. Two were stillborn and the last to survive died six days after birth.[79][106][107][108][109]
  • A set of nonuplets were born on March 26, 1999 in Malaysia to Zurina Mat Saad. She had five boys and four girls (Adam, Nuh, Idris, Soleh, Hud, Aishah, Khadijah, Fatimah and Umi Kalsom) but none of them survived more than six hours.[110]
  • In July 2002, a Sudanese woman was reported to be two months pregnant with nine fetuses after having undergone fertility treatment in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.[111][112]
