Ben Lurie

Ben Lurie is an Australian musician, most famous for being a member of the critically acclaimed Scottish alternative rock band The Jesus and Mary Chain from 1989 to 1998.

Biography

Ben Lurie was born in London to Australian parents and moved back to Australia when he was 4. He returned to London at the age of 20, where he joined The Jesus and Mary Chain for the Automatic tour. After the tour, he became a full time member and contributed to the band's last 2 albums Stoned & Dethroned and Munki [1]. After the band split up in 1998, Ben together with Jim Reid formed the band Freeheat. Ben also produced records by other bands such as The Parkinsons and Tompaulin. He moved back to Australia in 2004, where he currently works as a graphic designer.[2][3]
