"Machine Gun Funk" is the fourth track on The Notorious B.I.G.'s debut LP Ready To Die. The song was produced by Easy Mo Bee. There is a DJ Premier remix of this song. The song was featured in the biographical film Notorious.
Production
Biggie wanted this song to be the first single, but Puff Daddy decided that the first single needed to be more commercial. He came with the idea of Biggie rapping over a sample of "Juicy Fruit" by Mtume, which became his debut single "Juicy".[1]
