Julie Anne San Jose (born May 17, 1994, Novaliches, Philippines) is a Filipino child actor and singer.
Biography
Julie Anne San Jose is tagged as the Philippines’ Singing Prodigy.She was born on may 17,1994 in Novaliches.She was the eldest among the 3 daughters of Mr. Jonathan and Mrs. Marivic San Jose. Her siblings are Joanna Marie and Jan Christine. She was a member of a former kiddie musical group called Sugarpop which members are finalists of a child singing competition in Qtv11 entitled Popstar Kids, season 1 (2006). She was undefeated in the said contest for 8 consecutive weeks. Popstar kids made way to Julie Anne’s career. The group was disbanded in 2008 which led Julie Anne to go solo. She is a mainstay in a noontime musical variety show, Party Pilipinas (formerly known as SOP). She is known for her versatility as a performer… a musical princess, indeed. Julie Anne also plays drums,piano,guitar,flute and lyre.
Julie Anne made special guestings in GMA 7 and QTV 11’s shows and made her acting debut in telenovela Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan. She was also a co-host of Planet Q , QTV's animal program aimed at children. She is the voice behind the heartfelt interpretation of Dyesebel and The Last Prince’s themesongs. When she was younger(before she joined Popstar Kids), Julie appeared in TV shows such as Koko Kwik Kwak, Verano etc. She was also a finalist in Munting Miss U (ABS-CBN)
Growing up, Julie Anne was listening to Mariah Carey and other singing icons.It was through these icons that Julie developed her knack for singing.
In her 4 years in the industry, Julie Anne has developed from a simple, musically inclined girl to a soulful lady and a total performer with a powerful stage presence.
