I object to the recommendation for this article's deletion on the grounds that I did not base it solely on her notability for creating Hobbits' feet in Lord of the Rings. She is also notable for her illustrations for which she was awarded the Kate Greenaway Medal. A full list of recipients can be viewed here. As you can see, the majority of its awardees have articles devoted to them. For this reason, I believe that the article should be kept. sxebill (talk) 01:55, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

It is unclear to me that the award is enough to justify her notability. It's clear to me however that her other endeavors do not satisfy the notability guidelines. In general she does not seem to satisfy the criteria of WP:CREATIVE. It also appears that you may have a conflict of interest in this creation of this article. Is that true? Do you know her by any chance? You ought not to remove deletion prods. They are to ask for discussion and input from others.
