Naoussa is a village in the Cyclades. It is located north eastern corner of the island of Paros. In the summer "Naoussa" attracts many tourists from all Europe because of the perfect climate and the wonderful nearby beaches like "Kolympithres". Its population is 2,870. In the summer it is warm and sunny almost every day. During the winter it is cold and occasionally snowy.

Historical facts

In 1770—1775 Naousa was Russian naval base (known in Russia as Auza) and administrative centre of Alexey Orlov's military expedition (see related topics: Russo-Turkish War, Orlov Revolt, Greek War of Independence).
