Dave Taylor (born 8 July 1988) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer currently contracted to the South Sydney Rabbitohs of the National Rugby League (NRL). Prior to signing for Souths he played for the Brisbane Broncos until the end of the 2009 season.

In May 2009, the South Sydney Rabbitohs confirmed the signing of Taylor for three seasons until the end of the 2012 season.[2]

In his first year with Souths Taylor was selected to play for Queensland and made his debut for the Maroons from the bench in Game I of the 2010 State of Origin series. At 123 kilogrammes he became the heaviest player in Origin history. Taylor started off his Career as a Blackwater Crusher, he was very dominant in his age group as he was always big, [3]
