The station

Nicolaus Copernicus University Polar Station (Stacja Polarna Uniwersytetu Mikołaja Kopernika na Spitsbergenie) north-western Spitsbergen, northern part of the Kaffiyora, close to the Aavatsmarka glacier, operated since 1975. Opened by the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.

The station was used by 13 expeditions and 70 people. In 30 year existence the station was visited by about 300 people.

Location: 78.41' N, 11.51 'E.

The Nicolaus Copernicus University Polar Station is northenmost Polish scientific institution.
