Gameplay
Real Racing 2 has a distinctive career mode, with up to 10 hours of gameplay. 30 officially licensed cars can be purchased and upgraded with in-game cash. Online Multiplayer with Game Center is supported with a 16 player car grid. This is the first time in iOS and the Real Racing series that more than 4 players are able to play online.
Reception
Real Racing 2 was met with very favourable reviews. IGN gave Real Racing 2 a score of 9/10 and an Editors Choice award, with a comment that said ' Real Racing 2 lays down a new marker for iPhone sim racers'. The HD version received widespread criticism for bland graphics on the original iPad, in which the graphics do not match the screenshots on the App Store. Gamers claim that the older A4 processor can do more than what the game shows. Firemint addressed this issue and is working on an update to fix the graphics issue. The iPad 2 version did not receive any criticism particularly due to its newer A5 processor. The update was released in 20 March 2011 and addressed the graphics issue but crashes more constantly, much to gamer's disappointment.
iPad
Real Racing 2 HD was released specifically for the iPad and iPad 2 on March 11 2011. The game is somewhat similar to the mobile version but has received criticism for bland graphics on the original iPad.
