Located in New York state, Princeton Seminary was famous during the 19th and early 20th centuries for its defence of Calvinistic Presbyterianism. The college was the centre of a modernist/conservative battle which inevitably led to the formation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and Westminster Theological Seminary.
