Not a copyvio. If Noitall had actually read the image description he would see why. See also Wikipedia:Maps from Ordnance Survey. We are well within the ten images limit. What does it is not a proper copyright in any event mean? --

Comment: I am also curious about the claim it is not a proper copyright in any event because the U.S. (where the servers are) is a member of the Berne Convention and copyright notices are optional both in the U.K. and here. Paul Robinson 22:14, 21 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Agree - not a copyvio. OS website clearly states permission for 10 images. --PopUpPirate 10:48, 17 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Not making a comment on this specific image, but with permission isn't sufficent for our project. Unless you can make a good fair use claim, the image must be free in the free software sense of free. --Gmaxwell 21:10, 17 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I am the uploader of this image. I am happy to comply with policy, once we clarify what it is. See also Wikipedia:Maps from Ordnance Survey. Bovlb 18:01, 18 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I note that Wikipedia:Image copyright tags now lists Template:Ordnance Survey Copyright as "Do not upload images for which one of the tags in this section applies." There are several other maps with this tag (or in Category:Maps from Ordnance Survey) that are consequently affected. Bovlb 15:26, 19 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Promo photo - fair use. --PopUpPirate 10:48, 17 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
As per my comments above - this is also used in a featured article (Iron Maiden), and the image was discussed during the nomination process and consensus was reached that its use was fair. Rossrs 11:18, 17 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
