Speedy deletion

As long as she's mentioned on the recent deaths page, she should have an article. Hopefully a news source can provide more information soon, so that I or someone else can fill out more. --Lilduff90 (talk) 23:06, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This might be a good AfD candidate, but notability is asserted. Does not seem to meet speedy criteria Vartanza (talk) 23:08, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, after the first month, the criteria for someone being on recent deaths is having an article - so just being listed there doesn't mean automatic notability (we delete red links after a month, as well as any article that fails AFD). In this case, however, I agree with Vartanza - probably suitable for AFD (my guess is that it'll be kept now and be turned into a redirect in a year), but notability per WP:N is asserted enough that it's not due a speedy. Unless, that it does not meet the notability criteria. ApprenticeFan talk contribs 01:41, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'd just like to point out that this page was previously deleted as the result of an afd: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jennifer Lyon. -- Scorpion0422 02:48, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed by CNN 1-21-2010. http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/TV/01/20/survivor.palau.contestant.dies/index.html?hpt=T2 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.76.21.198 (talk) 15:20, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • This article should be based around her five-year struggle with cancer, and its mostly about her pre and during Survivor life. All the Survivor contestants will eventually be dead. We cant give them each an article just for dying. Write more about her cancer, or I'll have to vote to delete. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.10.110.13 (talk) 21:57, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Time on Survivor

Since there has to be a page on this player, shouldn't her time on Survivor Palau be part of the page? You can probably find more information there such has who she voted for and who voted against her and her ultimate standing in the game. I'm not sure if there are links that we could include that don't come from wikipedia, but you might find them if you wanted to. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.138.51.3 (talk) 23:37, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
