Devon Great Consols was a copper mine in Devon. Working at the site begun in 1844, when it was known as North Bedford Mines or Wheal Maria. In 1846 the Devonshire Great Consolidated Copper Mining Company was formed to work the site. Copper extraction continued until the 1870s, after which arsenic extraction continued until 1903.[1]
