Jangareddygudem is a Nagar panchayat and a Mandal/Taluk/Tahsil in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is one of the rapidly growing economic centers of the district. Jangareddygudem currently contains 21 village councils (panchayats).
The process of electronic tobacco auctioning was first introduced in India by the Jangareddygudem Tobacco Board. This Tobacco Board is one of the largest boards in the state.[citation needed]

According to the 2001 Indian census the village demographics are as follows: total population - 95251 in 22613 households; male population - 47990; female population - 47261; children under 6 years of age - 12033 (boys - 6142 and girls - 5891).

Jangareddygudem is surrounded on three sides by rivers, and on the remaining side by hills.[1] Its average elevation is 74 metres (243 ft) above sea level.

Travelling & Transport
Bus Tavelling /Transport
Devarapalli-Surya Peta- [(Khammam)]Tallada State Highway which connects Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry and Kakinada with the State Capital is passing through this town. Jangareddigudem has APSRTC Depot which operates bus services to many villages in the District, and all major places in Andhra Pradesh like Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Tirupati and Bhadrachalam. Private Travels are also operating Bus Services to Hyderabad.
Train Travelling
There is no Railway Station and Railway Route through Jangareddigudem. The people of this town used to go to Eluru, tadepalli Gudem, Kovvur, Rajahmundry or Vijayawada Railway Station for the Train Journey basing on their route of journey. A proposal, for Railway route from Bhadrachalam Junction to Kovvur of West Godavari district, is in pending since decades.
