We encourage you to join in an edit-a-thon near you, or to participate remotely if you are unable to attend in person (for the full list of articles, click here). As you may have already heard, the Wikipedia community lost an invaluable member of the community last month. Adrianne Wadewitz was a feminist scholar of 18th-Century British literature, and a prolific editor of the site. As part of a worldwide series of tributes, New England Wikimedians, in conjunction with local institutions of higher learning, have created three edit-a-thons that will be occurring in May and June. The events are as follows: May 21st at Northeastern University's Snell Library, in the Digital Scholarship Commons on the second floor May 22nd at Brown University's Rockefeller Library, in the Digital Scholarship Lab June 25th at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (exact location TBA), where we will also be hosting a "how to conduct an edit-a-thon" session beforehand We hope that you will be able to join us, whether you are an experienced editor or are using Wikipedia for the first time. Hello,

If you don't mind me asking, do you have the authority to promote this DYK? nomination of mine? -- Template:Did you know nominations/Saar status referendum, 1935. If so, then could you please promote it? The reason that I am asking this is because processing this DYK? nomination of mine appears to have taken a very long time. Thank you very much. Anyone can review, but only the DKY admins (like Hawkeye7) have the authority to promote. I'm not an admin. I would try leaving a note for Hawkeye7. It's strange it hasn't been promoted already.
