About Me

I am a psychology major, sociology minor and leadership and behavior analysis concentration here at Drake University. I am a senior and plan on teaching abroad after I graduate. I work at an mental institution for children and at a childcare, I am interested in being a behavior analyst for an institution similar to the one that I am looking. For my article that I am considering contributing to Wikipedia, I am interested in the expression of sexuality in a social and political sense. I feel as though current youth are making so much progress with their progressive outlook on sexuality and the sexual community, with the perspective that we should all be free to express our sexuality, gender and sex in which ever way we choose. This is something that has been occurring slowly for a while, but this last generation seems to be making quite a bit of progress in changing the sexual and gender-free community. I have previously taught sex education courses and have worked closely will staff at Drake University promoting gender equality. This topic has always interested me, mostly because I like the expression of sexuality it encourages other people to experience an emotional upheaval and educates others about the possibility of sexual expression.

Suggestions on specific topic are welcomed!

Articles

ARTICLE #1: An article that I just found needs a lot of work, and is in my range of interests. The article [1] focuses on those in the LGBT community around the world, and the different countries tolerance of the homosexual community.

ARTICLE #2: This article doesn't really go along with my sexual expression topic, however I noticed that it needed a lot of work and that this is something that I know a lot about. I've worked in a few different [2] and know quite a bit of information about their methods, and the controversy that goes along with these kind of facilities.

ARTICLE ##: While listening to my fellow classmates, I was observing conversation between those who had similar topics to me. One of the people in my course are looking at transgender in China, and used the phrase sexual minority. While looking up the article titled [3] I realized that this article only consists of one paragraph so that might be an article to add to.

  1. ^ queer migration
  2. ^ behavior modification facility
  3. ^ sexual minority
