Too much plot, too little everything else

For instance, there should probably be something about how Mike was played by a different actor, why they didn't get the original. Other stuff like that, more about the background of making the movie, not just the story.76.234.154.32 (talk) 02:18, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe they did not want to get a gun permit

"They leave money in the till (which raises the question of why they bothered to break in to the store if they were going to pay for everything anyway?) and then hit the road again."

Maybe Reggie and Mike knew that with Mike's history in mental institutions, the authorities would never grant Mike a gun permit. Or Mike and Reggie did not want to wait for the process of getting a gun permit. Also, if the Tall Man was monitoring them somehow, if they went to get a gun permit, that would tip him off to their actions. -- 19:03, 29 July 2006 (UTC)Enda80

However, they took a shotgun, which does not require a permit. At the time, from a business that has a FFL (Federal Firearms License), all that was required was that a form 4473 be filled out. The 4473 has 10 basic questions, all of which you must answer truthfully, one of which is if you were adjudicated mentally unstable. If he was in the mental institution of his own free will, and not forcibly placed by a judge, he could legally purchase the gun. Regardless, it was Reggie, not Mike, who got the shotgun, so Mike's circumstances need not matter. If I remember right (it has been a while since I have seen the movie), it was late, after hours, so the store wasn't open. Time was of the necessity, so they couldn't wait for the store to open to purchase them legally, however didn't want to steal the items. I personally think that statement should be removed from the article, since it does not follow the standards for an encyclopedia article. -- Hellmark 03:08, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plot

I don't think this plot synopsis could be any more confusing. The synopsis gets its own synopsis in the next section!! Can someone who knows more about this movie fix this? I've seen it once and it was a long long time ago.--Dmz5 04:55, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Phantasm II.jpg

Image:Phantasm II.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
