Sekolah Victory Plus [1] is an independent co-educational IB World School [2] in South Jakarta, Indonesia.

The school was established in 2004,[3] and is a school for children from 3 to 17 years of age.[4] Currently it has 500 students from 42 different nationalities and is owned by the Academic Colleges Group based in New Zealand. Academic Colleges Group owns a total of seven schools in New Zealand, two in Vietnam and one in Indonesia and has over 6000 students and 600 teaching staff from 40 countries.[5]

History

ACG School Jakarta was founded in 2004 and has grown rapidly.[3] Nowadays it provides private education for around 330 students from kindergarten through to high school. Since May 2010 Jakarta has been an IB World School and offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).[1]

Campus

A new purpose built campus has been developed to provide quality educational facilities for the new roll of 500 students,.[3] The new buildings include 24 new classrooms as well as 2 science laboratories, a technology centre, music and arts rooms and a large modern canteen complete with a multi-purpose sports centre and auditorium.A full-sized junior soccer field with a surrounding athletic track and a large covered multi-purpose court will also be part of the new campus.[6]

Curriculum

Since May 2010 the ACG School Jakarta is authorised to offer the IB Primary Years Programme for students aged 3–11. This programme, as well the CIE, is taught in English and is open for male and female students.[1] The PYP programme provides a solid foundation for ACG students by preparing them for the challenges they will face as they transition through the Middle and Senior Schools programme.

ACG School Jakarta offers the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE),[5] which is the world largest provider of international education programmes and qualifications for 5–19 year olds.[7] Beginning in Year 10 students undertake a 2 year programme to prepare for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations and the AS and A level examination in Y12 and Y13 which focuses on preparation for university education.[8]

Sekolah Victory Plus

Sekolah Victory Plus, established in 1998, was the first school with International standards in Bekasi. Their vision is to become a leading enterprise school with international standards that educates students to achieve their full potential as lifelong-learners and global citizens.

SVP has been accredited A+ from DIKNAS and is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) school.[1] It has also been appointed as a Centre of Cambridge International Examination (CIE). SVP is also a member of the Association of National Plus School (ANPS) and Montessori Association.

SVP offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities to our students so they can develop their creativity such as in music, and performing arts. They are also given the opportunity to perform and display their work at art exhibitions. Sport also plays an important part of the curriculum which enables our students to take part in competitions, team games and enjoy a great healthy life.

Our graduates have gone on to continue their studies to all corners of the globe, attending some of the very best Universities in the USA, Australia, the UK, Europe and Asia. There are Victory Plus alumni at Berkley University, The University of Wollonggong, Nanyang Technological University, Edinburgh University, Universitas Diponegoro, Institute Technology of 10 November, Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Universitas Padjajaran (Unpad), The University of Southern California and The New York School of Design.

The integration of a wide range of educational programmes -from age 2 to 18 -means that SVP graduates embody IB global principles and thrive in our ever-changing world. They are an authorised IB World School using Montesorri Methods, PYP and MYP, we are also accredited to teach the Cambridge International Examinations As and A Levels, accredited by the local Indonesian Educational Authorities and the Association of National and Private Schools (ANPS).
