Suspected sockpuppets

I have been concerned for some time about the promotional tone and notability of articles (and even categories) being created by User:Talentforfilm on behalf of Kamran Qureshi, related company Evergreen Media Europe (article since deleted) and other figures in the Pakistan television industry. I have recently brought several articles to Afd for Qureshi-directed short videos that I believe clearly fail WP:NFILM. Now a new SPA account appears at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Power of the Sea to testify to the usefulness of one of the nominated articles. There is a similarity in username and the same poor command of English -- despite the editor presenting himself as an unconnected British "researcher" interested in U.K. military history. Yes, I know it's just one edit thus far -- but any attempt to deceive the community by adopting different identities at Xfd is a red flag for me, a sign that things have gone too far. I was wondering if you could look into this, to see if this is just coincidence or not. Thanks. Shawn in Montreal (talk) 13:46, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • The two accounts are  Confirmed. I've blocked/tagged the puppet, and blocked/tagged the master indefinitely because the user is here only for promotion. Closing.--Bbb23 (talk) 21:41, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
