Why did you remove your comment from my talk page?--Eat me, I'm a red bean (take a huge bite)i've made a huge mess 05:43, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Eat me, I'm a red bean: I realized after-the-fact that the user who had messaged you offering to help out was part of a somewhat-formal program to match mentors with mentees. As such, I didn't want to step on their toes by jumping in and answering the question. I normally wouldn't mind answering questions on talk pages, which I often have on my watchlist, but I didn't want the user who was designated as your mentor at the Co-op to have his role stolen from him. I see that he hasn't answered your question yet, though. If you have any further questions and he remains non-responsive, feel free to ask them here or on your talk page and I'll be happy to help. ~ RobTalk 06:00, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
Thanks
Hey, just wanted to say thanks for thinking of fixing a better pic for the DYK nomination about Schloss Bothmer earlier. I was on vacation, and absentmindedly forgot to put one of those useful little bars at the top of my user-page which says so. I saw that W.carter fixed it though, thoughtful and kind as always. Family of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge
Could you help me again please (I am too scared to even try!) - in the Parents section on the above page there is a link "Lady Bullock (nee Barbara Lupton)... can this link please go to the 20th Century section straightaway on the Lupton family page which discusses Lady Bullock - rather than to the top of the Lupton page as it does at the moment? I really don't know how to do this. thanks yet again M101.182.221.219 (talk) 10:10, 18 August 2015 (UTC) Are the page Marquess of Lansdowne refs. OK? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 101.182.221.219 (talk)
- You can make it go to a specific section by typing the following: [[(NAME OF PAGE YOU WANT TO LINK TO)#(NAME OF SECTION)|(WHAT YOU WANT THE TEXT TO SAY)]], replacing each of the things in parentheses with the specifics of what you want to do. You do need to keep the # and |, but no the parentheses themselves; I just put those in to make it easier to read. ~ RobTalk 11:00, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
DYK for Garry Williams (gridiron football)
On 19 August 2015, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Garry Williams (gridiron football), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that gridiron football player Garry Williams has missed playing time due to a torn ACL and MCL, a broken ankle, and injuries to his knee, back, and elbow? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Garry Williams (gridiron football). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

deletion freelab messenger
thank for your message on my page
my article was indeed deleted.
to avoid future deletion is there a way i can work on draft that can be validated by someone else before i publish it ?
i am most used to french part of wikipedia and articles can be asked to be improved but usually not deleted — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lebrunxavier (talk • contribs) 08:31, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Lebrunxavier: Yes, there is. If you go to WP:AfC and clicking "Click here to create an article now", it will take you through an article creation wizard to make sure that your article fits the basic inclusion criteria, before allowing you to create it as a draft. When your draft is done, a button will be available on the page to submit it for review before it's published in the main article space. Let me know if you have any questions! ~ RobTalk 08:43, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
wikicohen and wikishawnio
Rob please take a peek at the contribs for wikicohen and pay attention to how the user is "rewording" factual events to paint herself in a better light, I understand your injection but for you to generalize the way you did I think that was uncalled for. please absorb the sequence of events before coming to such a decision like you did. thank you. WikiShawnio (talk) 16:02, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
- You've accused the other editor without proof of being the subject of the article, and making such claims is incivil. I've stated what I needed to at ANI, and administrators reviewing the situation will make a call. ~ RobTalk 17:09, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
Rob I know this is not like I am asking you to go here and go there and click this and click that and then on page 20 there is a sentence to back up my stories ok, I don't expect you to follow us around and look who is being what, the accusation was made after the user blatanly posted a url to a database that only she can see, in the URL you are directed to a database that asks for a password, now I am not going to waste my time trying to get anyone here, you need to understand I am not some random person who happened to stumble onto wikipedia, I am simply trying to tell the story here. read the article's talk page ok. you make your own decisions there. thanks for your concerns :) WikiShawnio (talk) 16:39, 25 August 2015 (UTC)
- @WikiShawnio: My concern isn't who's correct in the content dispute. My concern is the conduct displayed by both sides. Civilly discussing what content belongs on the page is fine. Making baseless claims that one editor is actually the article's subject is not. ~ RobTalk 16:43, 25 August 2015 (UTC)
Defamation content
Hi,
in Ketchapp page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ketchapp you are saying "Akins Rotable being similar to Ketchapp's Circle Pong" and "The developer of Ketchapp's Circle Pong". This content is 100% defamation, as you can see Circle Pong is made by App Cow an US company https://itunes.apple.com/app/circle-pong!/id905229109
Please explain me where do you see that this game is made by Ketchapp ? You have no evidence and no link that says that the game is made by Ketchapp. The game is clearly made by App Cow as mentioned on iTunes link and not Ketchapp as you can see here again : https://itunes.apple.com/app/circle-pong!/id905229109
Please remove this defamation content or send me any link that prove that Ketchapp made this game.
Thank you,
Best — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.207.174.110 (talk) 22:00, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
- Sources in the article (7 and 8) indicate the app was originally released by Ketchapp. Wikipedia merely reproduces information reported in reliable secondary sources. Also, I did not write that content. ~ RobTalk 01:34, 25 August 2015 (UTC)
