Ompalompa83: But the band has been subject to coverage in reliable sources, see for instance the following: http://allscandinavian.com/7976/house-by-the-lake-dark-horse/ http://thefourohfive.com/news/article/house-by-the-lake-national-park http://www.nrk.no/urort/Artist/theHousebyTheLake/default.aspx' http://www.musicstories.lv/2011/11/house-by-lake-redwood-video-wedding.html

You could have used the same amount of time (probably less with cut and paste) to add the FURs for those pages than comment the image out. Next time, be helpful, because this isn't helpful. - NeutralhomerTalk20:39, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Knowing NFCC, adding furs would take hours. Rettetast (talk) 09:11, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Took me about 2 minutes, 3 tops. - NeutralhomerTalk11:42, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit to Operation Barbarossa

The chances anyone holds copyright to this particular photo and are willing to enforce it are essentially 0 given the context.

That is only one of the reasons why we have a very strict policy on non-free images. If we are going to build free content, we have to limit the use of copyrighted material. I am prbably going to remove that image again. Rettetast (talk) 09:16, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Images of articles that I've edited

Why do you remove logos from public broadcaster articles? Please stop removing logos from public television channels or radio stations articles because the logos are useful and belongs to an article where it belongs to, such as a radio station or a television channel article. The logos will be deleted if the images is not added to an article where it belongs to in the next seven days. I think that the logos are useful and belongs to an article where it belongs. XPanettaa (talk) 9:48, May 17, 2015 (UTC)

We have very strict rules for when we can use non-free images on wikipedia. See WP:NFCC. The galleries of old logos are a clear violation of this policy and thus has to be deleted.

File:Florida Gators Woodmark Logo.png

Can I ask why you removed File:Florida Gators Woodmark Logo.png from all of the Florida Gators season articles? I was under the impression that it was fair use because it was just stylized text, is that not the case? And if its use is not allowed on season pages, then what about the wordmarks used on nearly every other NCAA program season article?. Thanks, ~ Richmond96 TC 05:17, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Same question for the DePaul Blue Demons season articles. ~ BUPetey TC 14:04, 09 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It was tagged as fair use. And it obiously failed WP:NFCC in the season articles. Rettetast (talk) 07:23, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Strictly Come Dancing (series 13)

I've given you seven examples, happening in barely more than a week, of obvious and persistent vandalism to this article. There's more if you look in the edit history, including one made since I made the most recent protection request. A previous temporary semi-protection of two weeks was granted on the basis of similarly persistent, near-identical vandalistic edits; once that expired the vandalism started again more or less immediately. Please explain why this article doesn't qualify for protection, as to say that "most of the edits are not vandalism" is blatantly untrue. Cwmxii (talk) 14:45, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
