Talk:Richmond District, San Francisco

The article states that Hugo Street in the Sunset District is the "H" street. The outside page that the article links to, however, on the "street naming controversy," at the Encyclopedia of San Francisco, states what I was told all my life growing up in the Richmond District, that Lincoln was originally to be the "H" street but it was changed in order to honor Abraham Lincoln with a street. The page at the Encyclopedia of San Francisco makes no mention of Hugo Street whatever.
The Sunset District page has the same info has this page.--Ncosmob 17:44, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
- You're absolutely right, source: [1] Jonemerson 00:31, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
boundaries
The new addition referring to the election district uses the weasel words some people. I think that we should rewrite the introduction as follows:
- remove the reference to election district 1 in the first sentence.
- Consider adding a single sentence noting the discrepancy between the traditional district boundaries and the election district boundaries.

- Implemented. Thanks for the suggestion. Jonemerson 00:58, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Although many people consider Arguello to be the eastern boundary of Inner Richmond just as the article says, IIRC this is inconsistent with the real estate maps in City Hall. (I'm guessing that they're in City Hall now; they were in 875 Stevenson when I last saw them.) 66.218.54.163 (talk) 17:04, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Boundaries of Sub-Districts
I cleaned up the sub-district section. If you look at a map of San Francisco, I think my edits were accurate.69.181.41.173 (talk) 02:57, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
Section 3.1 - Neighborhoods
As a Richmond District native born and raised and still living, I would say the title "neighborhoods" for section 3.1 of this article do not fit into the content well since the Richmond is already a neighborhood itself. The Sunset District has the same case as the Richmond with different "neighborhoods" as well such as the inner sunset, outer sunset, parkside, etc, so they titled that section "Micro Neighborhoods" in their Wikipedia article in which I believe is more relevant. Therefore a more appropriate title for 3.1 should be something what the Sunset District's article had came up with like micro neighborhoods, segments, sub-neighborhoods, clusters, or any other more suitable term.
