Biography
Pascal-Alex Vincent studied film history at the University of Paris III.
After training he worked in the company Alive in the distribution of Japanese films in France.[2]
In 1998, Pascal-Alex Vincent directed the short film Thomas trébuche (aka Tommy Trips), which showed a small drama gay history.
In the early twenty-first century Pascal-Alex Vincent begins the fruitful collaboration with french studio Local Films. There he directed six short films: Les résultats du bac (aka Final Exams) (2001), Far West (2003), Hollywood malgré lui (aka Hollywood by accident) (2004), Bébé requin (aka Baby Shark) (2005), Candy Boy (2007), and En attendant demain (aka While waiting for tomorrow) (2008). Important for the Director to show life as it is. And here, as before, raised the issue of sexual identity. Even in the seemingly innocuous animated film Candy Boy. The result of this collaboration was the collection video 6 histoires courtes de Pascal-Alex Vincent.[3]
In 2008 he released his first feature film Donne-moi la main (aka Give Me Your Hand). The film was released in more than a dozen countries, including the United States. Then greatly increased interest in the work of Pascal-Alex Vincent.
And here his art has become only more diverse. He started shooting documentaries and music videos.
In 2010 released the the first authorized documentary about Miwa, a famous Japanese impersonator from the 1960's entitled "Miwa, a la recherche du lezard noir".
Now the Director continues his work.[4]
