Proposition 62 is a California ballot proposition on the November 8, 2016 ballot that would repeal the death penalty and replaces it with life imprisonment without possibility of parole. It would apply retroactively to existing death sentences and increase the portion of life inmates' wages that may be applied to victim restitution.[1]
