List format
There is a discussion about the table format for the main list of aircraft at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aviation#WP:AVILIST. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 15:34, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
Also, I would suggest that editors stop making changes to the list table while it is being discussed, as they may get lost while the format is being revisited. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 15:47, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
Update
The list of current aircraft has now been updated to conform to WP:AVILIST guidelines.
The above discussion is continuing on the content of certain columns, so I would suggest that editors discuss proposed changes before making them, as they may prove unacceptable. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 17:30, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- Steelpillow,Antiochus the Great This is a note column, it was made to put small notes with a reference for each aircraft, not to put the same reference for all of them. There are some notes without references and I'm trying hard to find them, you know sometimes old links become dead. As for that future aircraft thing, well, there are 3 types of aircraft, those that are in service of the Air force, those that will be in service in the near future as their contracts have been signed and those that may enter into service since negotiations have reached final stages but no contracts have been signed yet. Any Ideas on how to sort this out ? - AHMED XIV (talk) 19:37, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- I have a radical idea; how about we try and only include current aircraft in a list of current aircraft? Antiochus the Great (talk) 19:45, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- And ? - AHMED XIV (talk) 19:50, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- For clarification, follow the link to the ongoing discussion. To save you scrolling up a few inches, here it is again for you: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aviation#WP:AVILIST. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 20:33, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- I already agree with the table form which was discussed at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Aviation#WP:AVILIST. Now, We are talking about how the content should be shown in this specific page which I think here is the proper place to discuss it. - AHMED XIV (talk) 20:47, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- Antiochus the Great, A table for current aircraft, a table for future aircraft and a table for planned aircraft. How about that ? - AHMED XIV (talk) 21:41, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- I believe this is the best home for information on any future or planned acquisitions. You will have much more success there, as opposed to squeezing it all into a table. That being said, I won't necessarily object to any decision you take. For now, I am more interested in what directly involves WP:AVILIST on the current aircraft table. Antiochus the Great (talk) 22:03, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- Antiochus the Great, Great, I'll work on making these 2 additional tables (Future aircraft and Planned aircraft). Now about that linking issue, We can't just leave it empty or with this repeated "flight global" source. We could either add a small note with a reference to each or we could add specific references for each aircraft without adding any notes. I mean we've got an empty note column which we're not making use of. - AHMED XIV (talk) 22:29, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- I think I have been all to clear with regards to notes. Don't put anything in that column if it easily found or better placed at the relevant aircraft and/or operator article. As for linking, you are welcome to participate in the following discussion. Antiochus the Great (talk) 22:52, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- Steelpillow,Antiochus the Great Review my edits to the Aircraft Section, please. Any comments ? - AHMED XIV (talk) 01:13, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
- I have no major issues, although I would do some things differently. But I think it best to let those lie. Thank you for your constructive approach. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 10:12, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
- AHMED, I think your changes look rather good to me. Thanks for taking the time to discuss things here and doing a good job! Antiochus the Great (talk) 11:11, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

UAVs and target drones
Are the UAVs and target drones owned and operated by the Air Force? If so, then they can be included in the main table, using the UAV class to identify them. This would help readers discover whether say a K-8 Karakorum or an Aeryon Scout was a manned craft or a UAV. It would also help group all craft made by the same company. Also, from a modern perspective, "target drone" is just one role of UAVs. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 14:52, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

Air Tractor
The aionline source [1] actually doesn't say that the ex-UAE aircraft are AT-802U - it says that they are "Air Tractor AT-802-based Block 1 and 2 Border Patrol Aircraft supplied by Iomax". There is an article in February's Air International (* Ayton, Mark. "Archangel: Crop Duster to Tank Buster". Air International, Vol. 92, No. 2, February 2017. pp. 24–33. ISSN 0306-5634.) which states that these were modified by IOMAX from normal AT-802 aircraft "and not from AT-802U as widely reported elsewhere".Nigel Ish (talk) 12:08, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
