Bromance (noun, adj. [bromantic], adv. [bromantically]): A non-sexual deep personal bond or very close friendship between men. In spite of the derivation of the term (romance) this refers strictly to a platonic relationship.
Origin: First coined by radio and telvision personality Ryan Seacrest September 2006 while reporting on the close friendship maintained by actor Matthew McConaughey and Tour de France multi-champion bicyclist Lance Armstrong.
