Talakaya Kura is a popular meat dish in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.[1] In Telugu Talakaya means Head of Goat or Lamb. It is also called Talakaya Pulusu when it is added with Tamarind [2]

Talakaya means Head & Kura means Curry. This dish involves cooking of the Goat's/Sheep's head. It is the most frequently served item in many functions and festivals across the Telangana. It is very good for joint pains, back pain and it is a very good medicine for bones.
