Uday Express or Utkrisht Double Decker Air Conditioned Yatri Express are completely Double-decker train AC chair trains designed by Indian Railways. This services include small haul routes.[1] [2][3][4][5][6][7]
Background
UDAY or Utkrisht Double Decker Air Conditioned Yatri Express will be Double-decker train trains with 40% additional passenger capacity. They will run overnight on busy routes.
The coaches will have LED screen displays to show information about stations, train speed etc. and will be equipped with an announcement system. The exterior of coaches will be covered with vinyl sheets. Safety measures will be present in compartments such as smoke alarms and CCTV cameras.
The first service will be launched by June 10th 2018 between Coimbatore Junction and Bengaluru City'Bold text'
