OPE
Appearance
OPE is a three-letter acronym that can refer to:
- Operator product expansion
- Oshkosh Placement Exchange, a Student Affairs hiring conference held every year at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh
"OPE" is also a phrase often used by just about everyone in the world. It has been found to be a little-known mystery. Many people will utter or cry "Ope!" after almost walking into someone, making an embarassing mistake, or dropping something. The origin of the word Ope is unclear. It may be a shortened form of "oops" or "whoops." Nonetheless, it has unfortunately not been published in any dictionaries. Please give credit to the discovery of the OPE phenomena to Stephanie Cummings and Amy Norwood.
