Seabed Constructor
Seabed Constructor is an active construction ship that has been retained to search for the remains of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.[1][2][3] The Norwegian-flagged vessel was launched in 2013.[4] The ship was formerly known as the Olympic Athene.[5]
The ship is 114m in length, with a 22m beam, a gross tonnage of 7883 tonnes, and dead-weight of 6480 tons. Its maximum speed is 12 knots and a length x breadth of 115.4m and 22m respectively.[6]
It was operated by Ocean Infinity on a 90-day search contract for the missing aircraft under the call sign LFIP3, which ended in mid-June 2018.[7]
