Daniel G. DeVos[1] (born c. 1959) is an American businessman, sports executive and philanthropist.
Business
Since 1993, DeVos has served as president and chief executive officer (CEO) of DP Fox Ventures based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Sports
He is also the majority owner, president, and CEO of the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League (AHL). In 2011, he was appointed chairman of the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association (NBA).[2] He is also the former owner of the Arena Football League's Grand Rapids Rampage.
He is the son of Helen June (Van Wesep) and Amway co-founder and Orlando Magic owner, Richard DeVos.[3][4]
Leadership
Dan is the chairman of the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation[5], serves on the board of directors at Amway[6], past chairman and current board of trustees member at Northwood University (Midland, MI)[7], vice chairman of the executive committee for the Grand Valley State University Foundation[8] and serves on the board of directors for the West Michigan Sports Commission[9].
