Tunisia has 6 regions in the entire country.[5] The 6 regions are: North East Tunisia, Greater Tunis, North West Tunisia, Centre West Tunisia, Centre East Tunisia, and South Tunisia. Towards the northern regions, there are some humid areas near Tabarka and Aïn Draham.[6] Near the capital, Tunis, it is mostly semi-arid. However, in the southern regions, it is very arid due to the Saharan Desert.
