Clarify Statement

The line

"In contemporary English, use of the word pussy to refer to women is considered derogatory or demeaning, treating people as sexual objects.

under "Female Genitalia" could perhaps be clarified and re-worded similarly to the following:

"In contemporary English, use of the word pussy to refer to female individuals/women themselves/something similar, as opposed to female genitalia, is generally considered to be derogatory and demeaning."

Upon first reading the line, I misunderstood it as referring to genitalia as opposed to females themselves. Further, I believe some of the wording in the line is awkward/unnecessary.

Oxford English Dictionary, Third Edition

From what I read on the OED website, the Third Edition is a work in progress. How can this possibly be a source (cited as a published book) for this article? --JavaRogers (talk) 23:14, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Weakness

I was researching the origins of "pussy" as a derogatory name, and came across the word "pusillanimous" which is, according to dictionary.com, synonymous with timorous, fearful, frightened. Was surprised not to see the apparent connection at least mentioned as a possibility here.

Pussy not always derogatory

Pussy is not always used in a derogatory way. It is also common slang used by a woman to refer to her own genitals in an informal, often affectionate way. To imply it is always derogatory is to impose a particular feminist agenda on the article, not supported by most women.

Female Genitalia- Stop feminizing your definition. Pussy can be used as a general and even endearing term between known men and women companions. Just as a woman might refer to a man by his sexual appendage as she comes on to him. Also, I would suggest stop trying to use Wikipedia as a tool to try and attack the President. I think am sick of News companies trying to push a one sided opinion based on oxymoron group of reporters who believe in socialism. 68.98.161.101 (talk) 03:48, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: as you have not requested a specific change in the form "Please replace XXX with YYY" or "Please add ZZZ between PPP and QQQ".
More importantly, you have not cited reliable sources to back up your request, without which no information should be added to, or changed in, any article. - Arjayay (talk) 10:26, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
