Sergei Nakariakov
Born in Gorky in 1977, Sergei Nakariakov is a Russian trumpeter whose musicality is being recognized by the world. He released his first cd recording (including works by Ravel, Gerschwin and Arban's famed " The Carnival of Venice") in 1992 at the young age of 15. He was called "The Paganini of the Trumpet" by the Finnish Press after a performance at the Korsholm Festival when he was only 13 and named the "Caruso of the Trumpet" by Musik and Theatre in 1997. Ever since, Sergei Nakariakov has vastly expanded his repertoire by recording works of not only original literature for the trumpet but also continually expanding into broader territories, including many fascinating transcriptions, while he searches for new means of musical expression.

Sergei Nakariakov has recorded famous works by composers such as Franz Joseph Haydn, Johann Nepomuk Hummel, J.B. Neruda, Mozart, Telemann, Felix Mendelssohn, and Tchaikovsky. The Flugelhorn
In addition to his trumpet playing, Nakariakov is opening a brilliant path for himself in playing the flugelhorn. In his cd "No Limit" in 2000, Nakariakov plays Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme (originally for cello and orchestra) in a transcription for the flugelhorn.
