PS 197 The Kings Highway Academy is a public elementary school in Midwood in Brooklyn, New York. PS 197 houses both general and special education programs ranging from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade.
Alumni of PS 197 include U.S. Senators Charles Schumer (New York)[1] and Bernie Sanders (Vermont),[2] and former Senator Norm Coleman (Minnesota). [3] Aeronautical engineer Bert R. Bulkin and Pharmaceutical Entrepreneur Martin Shkreli are also alumni.[citation needed]
