Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion
This page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.
Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). Be clear as to which namespace is intended, when requesting a refund of a deleted article.
This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.
Do not request that pages or media deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.
Instructions for special cases:
- G13. Abandoned Drafts and Articles for creation submissions – see Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion/G13 for instructions.
- For JavaScript .js or .css pages, please request on the Wikipedia:Interface administrators' noticeboard.

Category:Marketing research companies by country
The category "Marketing research companies by country" is still showing up in Google. It should, and it should be there. The "Market"(no "ing") Category is now holding 16 "Marketing" subcategories. The two terms are not identical. Market research and Marketing research each have an article. As of this moment, one is HatNoted yellow, the other orange. —Pi314m (talk) 09:33, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
- There's only one deleted revision in the history, and it was a redirect to Category:Market research companies by country, so restoring it isn't going to create separate categories for you. Hut 8.5 10:00, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- That's the one. Perhaps I wasn't clear above: I would like to move Category:Market research companies by country BACK to what it was before the summer, namely Category:Marketing research companies by country.

Issue with above acceptance Graeme Bartlett, the above acceptance of restoration for the draft of Draft: Ricky Bell by Nashanique is vastly different and inferior to the one I was previously working on that was deleted on April 1, which was located at Draft: Ricky Bell (singer) and before its deletion and conversion into a draft page was a standalone article. Could that one be reverted instead please as that was the one I was previously working on? DrewieStewie (talk) 01:36, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

Hello. I absolutely agree that the articles shouldn’t be undeleted I said in my original request, I understand the reversion was needed. Several (although not the majority) of my additions broke the rules, which I was I unaware of. From my original request
> Hello! The revised versions of this article were deleted for copyright violations. This was entirely correct, and I’m legitimately sorry for any trouble which I caused. It was not my intention, and I definitely should have realized my mistake.
I might be misinformed, I believed this section of Wikipedia is meant for asking for access to articles which you agree were rightfully deleted - but don’t have access to yourself. So you can re-add the information, but properly done, for a second time. I am absolutely not asking for anything to be restored to public access. Like I said in my original request, I absolutely agree these were rightfully removed. I just want to fix them, to improve the article by properly adding the information.
I can understand the concerns, but I can absolutely guarantee I’m going to revise them properly this time. Like I said, I was just unaware of the copyright rules. It was my mistake, and I want to fix it. It’d be extreme stupid of me to even try to restore any of the copyright protected material, even if I wanted to (which I definitely don’t), knowing that it would literally get caught almost immediately. It’s like accusing someone of trying to steal a secret testing drone from Area 51. Even putting aside the accusation itself, how stupid do you think I am lol? No one could get away with that even if they did want to.
I can absolutely guarantee everything I add will not break any rules. It’s just, as you can see, I added a lot of stuff. Way too much to remember everything. I will reword everything to follow the protocol, but I need access to the revision to do so. Like I said in my original request
> There was a lot of legitimatly good content added to the page in the last month. But sadly they were all lost (even the ones which didn't violate anything), because of the restoration that was needed. I’m 100% willing to add everything again, and this time properly done, with everything reworded. But it makes it impossible to do without being able to actually see the differences.
I promise I’m a good person. I’m not a criminal :(. I just made a mistake by not knowing the copyright rules when editing the page. And now I want to fix it, but it’s impossible for me to do that without having access to at least Rowz revision. https://i.imgur.com/jh6Xtxv.jpg —BorderRegions (talk) 22:32, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

I am not asking for anything to be restored. I am asking for access to the deleted articles for me, personally, so I can fix them. I feel I made that pretty clear in my request, and the fact that this seems so difficult to communicate is legitimately leaving me exasperated :(. It honestly feels like people are only looking at the article name, and not bothering to actually read anything written. I know there were copyright violations. I’m not asking for the versions to be made public.
I’m asking for access to the pages, for only just me personally, so I can see what updates were made, and fix them. I don’t know if there’s an issue with other people not being allowed to see them. But there were not just three old revisions. If you look at the images I linked below, there were many. Most of them fine. Some were copyright violations. I want to fix the bad ones and update the page again. It is literally 100% impossible for me to add them again, but this optometrist properly, unless you give me access to the page.

> Welcome. Please note that this page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.
I’m not challenging any deletion here. This was an uncontroversial deletion.
> Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or rejected Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. The situation here literally applies to this criteria 100% perfectly. So please, I am literally begging you, give me access to the Rodw’s revision lol. I literally can not comprehend why this has been so difficult, given this applies to the criteria listed above perfectly. I made a mistake in an article. That mistake was copyright violations. I didn’t know the rules. It was uncontroversially deleted. Now I know the rules and want to fix it. I need personal access to the old page to fox it. Again, isn’t this literally the entire reason this request page exists? So many I please be allowed to see the Rodw version of the article?

- It isn't possible to give you access to deleted revisions. Only administrators can access deleted revisions, and administrators can access all deleted revisions. If you want access to the content then the only options we have are (a) restore the revisions or (b) email you the text of the revisions. (a) is not going to happen, Wikipedia does not restore copyright violations, ever, and certainly not on this page (when you edit this page you should see a notice saying that we don't restore copyright violations here). Copyright violations are also not "uncontroversial deletions", that means things like housekeeping deletions where nobody would object if the page was restored. I am not personally willing to email you the revisions as I've seen a lot of cases where new editors attempt to "fix" copyright violations and end up with something else which is still a copyright violation, but I won't object if another admin is willing to. If you want to fix a copyright violation then you have to rewrite the text from scratch. Incidentally if you want to reply to a comment you can just put a reply on the same thread, there's no need to start another thread for every reply. Hut 8.5 10:43, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
@Hut 8.5: Thank you for the information about the reply. I was confused since I didn’t see any guidelines about responding, so I wanted to say on the safer side by starting a new thread.
The confusion here was because I believed that “restored” and “undeleted” referred to different things, since the terms are used separately in the disclaimer. I thought “restore” meant “back to public access”, and “undelete” meant “email to user” . I also interpreted “uncontroversially deleted” as “anything that was deleted uncontroversially”, not “deletions that would be uncontroversial to restore”
I fully understand the hesitation. I understand not just emailing deleted versions to every random user who asks and is mad their revisions got erased. And I don’t know how to prove I’m not one of those people, since there is physically no way to disprove a negative. I’ll say this. If you give me access, and I mess up again, you can deleted my account. I legitimately just want to make the article better, not cause any more problems.
I want to prove I’m actually committed to making the article better, and not just a random mad poster. I put in legitimately weeks of effort into first improving that article. And now I’ve put in legitimately weeks of effort into trying to get access to the old versions to fix it. What can I do to prove to you I legitimately want to fix my mistakes. I think the fact that I’ve been trying to do this for months now should at least show I’m seriously committed. Would some low-effort angry poster really put this much effort - just into what essentially would be vandalizing the page? By doing something that would get undone in a few minutes, no less. I hope with the amount of dedication I’ve put in, I’ve proven I’m not a troll, but actually just want to improve the page :(. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BorderRegions (talk • contribs) 23:12, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

JJMC89, TakuyaMurata There is indeed a theorem by the name of Eyeballl Theorem, the name presumably derived from the appearance of the diagram: --see mathoverflow [2] It's even in wikibooks, [3], but without a diagram. . However, that's not what the draft article described. The entire text of the article was The Eyeball It Theorem is a nice simple theorem for geometry. The theorem is something along the lines of, "If the figure looks like the other figure then they are congruent." This is important because it makes life so much easier. There was, needless to say, no reference & no diagram. I took it as a joke, not just an incompetent description. There's no reason someone-- like Taku-- couldn't write a real article on the real theorem. DGG ( talk ) 05:14, 4 May 2020 (UTC) DGG ( talk ) 05:15, 4 May 2020 (UTC)

However, this image was used at Iron Man (2008 film) where I believe it was a valid use of a non-free image (opposed to also on the Iron Monger article where it was not), and thus, I am requesting it be restored to feature once again on the Iron Man film article. I also was unclear if this was the correct place or the deletion review, hence requesting here. —Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:07, 4 May 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not opposed to this, as in the article Iron Man (2008 film) there's a good deal of prose about the construction of the suit in the section where the image was. The Squirrel Conspiracy (talk) 23:04, 4 May 2020 (UTC)
- @The Squirrel Conspiracy: Thanks. I assumed the reason for deletion was the use at Iron Monger, and I just assumed you were not aware of its use at Iron Man (2008 film). - Favre1fan93 (talk) 00:00, 5 May 2020 (UTC)

Animation_Throwdown:_The_Quest_For_Cards
I'm a relatively inexperienced Wikipedia user, but last year I put significant work into cleaning up and expanding a stub article I found on this game, successfully addressing several questions and criticisms that came up along the way.
Today I logged into Wikipedia to edit a completely unrelated page and found a notice that two images I had uploaded for the game were subject for deletion , and when I went to look at the page, it was deleted 3 days ago with no notice to me.
Animation_Throwdown:_The_Quest_For_Cards
23:50, 3 May 2020 Explicit (talk contribs) deleted page Animation Throwdown: The Quest For Cards (Expired PROD, concern was: Entirely sourced to primary sources, including forums. Search on theWikiProject:Video Games/Search Engine finds very little in the way of reliable coverage - only a short review on TouchArcade and a pre-release promo spot on VentureBeat. It's not sufficient to retain an article under WP:N, which requires topics to have "gained sufficiently significant attention by the world at large and over a period of time".)
I thought we were supposed to link to primary sources!
There are a half dozen external reviews and strategy guides (written in different years) I found with a cursory web search that I can link to when the page is restored.
I went to Explicit's talk page but it says they are busy and "Please consider using other venues such as WP:REFUND, where most of my deletions are considered uncontroversial and can be restored upon request."
The criteria mentioned on that page are complicated and it didn't sound like my request would qualify. If it's really as simple as requesting an undelete, that's not at all clear. (This is all really unsettling and off-putting for an inexperienced user.)

Last day I read the article about Kaushlendra Jha and followed all the citations for just a curiosity, all the citations are from India's top News websites also the first citation is from BBC which one of the best international news website..as I believe due to some personal issues someone creates the request for deletion and as per my knowledge Wikipedia allows different language sources in English article and all the citation are in Hindi language and because the administrator who deleted this page does not know the Hindi language so she/he convinced with the appeal of a random user who requested for deletion. Draft:John Wagner (Professional Baseball Coach)
The article was originally deleted because the reason for the rejection of its publication could not be rectified within a reasonable period. The reason for its rejection was the lack of certain references requested by the librarian who reviewed the article. Finally, I was able to get those references to support a fragment of the article and I consider that its content can be approved with the incorporation of these new references. —Juanma281984 (talk) 05:38, 8 May 2020 (UTC)

Closing editor User:Spartaz has not replied to request for a copy, at User talk:Spartaz#AFD on Wrea Head Hall. Probably a deletion review will be requested by its normal processes, soon, but need the article first. Thanks! —Doncram (talk) 07:05, 8 May 2020 (UTC)

- @Graeme Bartlett: I am still collecting sources. The company was very influential for Italian co-produced genre film in the 1980s and early 1990s, yet it is hard to find good sources on it. One has to collect information from bits and scraps. I am planning to do that this summer.

Ashu Khanna
The page is a account of Ashu Khannas life written by me. She is a motivational speaker and a leadership coach. She has trained many leaders in India and has had a very positive impact on their professional career. Wikipedia is a source of gaining info and acts like a true encyclopedia. I feel that Ashu Khannas info shall be sought by many ppl and hence the page should not be deleted. If there is some change in content that needs to be done then pls do let me know. —Pundalik Baliga (talk) 18:22, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
- Not done – this page was deleted as a blatant advertisement under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion and Wikipedia is not to be used as a vehicle for promotion. This does not necessarily mean a suitable article on this topic cannot be created. If it is a notable topic, e.g., multiple reliable, secondary, published sources that are entirely independent of the subject have written about it in substantive detail (not just mere mentions), then a neutrally written article may be possible. This one was written like a commercial. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:27, 8 May 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Ranjani Ramachandran
I intend to continue working on the page. However, the last editor who marked it for deletion never responded to my request asking why he said it was too closely linked to the article's subject. As I pointed out to him, there were references to two well-known national newspapers in India as well as to other third-party links. —Psurajit (talk) 05:54, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

- Noting (because Psaurajit has raised my non-response) If the refund requesting editor had bothered to read User_talk:Hasteur/Editnotice when making their plea, they would have read
If you're coming here to complain about an action I've taken (such as declining your Articles for Creation submission) please read the reasoning carefully. I try to leave enough information for editors to be able to correct the issue on their own. I will not be responding to any pleas for review here.
I've reviewed thousands of AFC submissions and don't have the time to provide every inquiry information that is already provided in the decline message (such as the submission needs to pass WP:NMUSIC) or to bump the thousands of other submissions that have already been waiting over 2 months for review. Talk:Tzotzil/Mummers/Tzotzil was apparently mistaken for a subpage, moved to Talk:Tzotzil (disambiguation)/Mummers/Tzotzil and then deleted, with the talk page independently re-created again the following year.
