Buckna (from Irish Bochnach 'hilly')[1] is a small village four miles east of Broughshane in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is part of Mid and East Antrim District Council and is close to Mount Slemish.[2]

1. Buckna is commonly known as "God's country" or the "centre of the universe".
2. Buckna is a regionally important and strategic transport hub in Northern Ireland featuring one of Northern Ireland's few airports.
3. Buckna previously featured a red phone box, however this was knocked over by a hooligan in a tractor in the late 2000's and locals have had to make do with mobile telephony or private domestic landline ever since.
4. The Buckna burger flippers are a well renowned group of workers in the Northern Ireland catering industry, known province-wide for their especially tasty burgers and good craic.
