Prince Mabandla Ndawombili Fred Dlamini (born 11 November 1930)[1][2] was Prime Minister of Swaziland from 23 November 1979 to 25 March 1983.[3]

Biography

He came from the royal Dlamini family. Before joining the prime minister, he worked as a director in sugar plantation. After the death of Maphev, Dlamini assumed the post of prime minister appointed by King Sobhuza II. In 1980, he released some political prisoners from prison, he also advocated progressive changes in social life and the fight against corruption. During his tenure, the relations with the Republic of South Africa cooled down. In August 1982, after the death of the monarch, the regency was taken over by Dzeliwe, with whom he fell into conflict. He lost the function of the prime minister in 1983 after falling into a border conflict with South Africa. He was later forced to emigrate to this last country.
