SIPphone is a company providing Voice over IP telephone and directory services based on open standards such as SIP and XMPP. Also offers proprietary, but free, Gizmo Project instant messaging VOIP software. Because of the standards-based implementations and open business policy, it is compatible with other SIP-based phones from companies like FWD, IPtel, and Iaxtel. SIPphone was founded by MP3.com and Linspire founder Michael Robertson.
