Policy
General goals
- To coordinate and improve articles related to Western Australia;
- To foster collaboration between editors in the Category:Wikipedians in Western Australia;
- To establish appropriate linkages with the Wikipedia Australia project and portal;
- To ascertain and identify the Western Australian component of other Wikipedia projects;
- To seek peer review and collaboration of editors in other Wikipedia projects. (proposed goal)
Specific goals
- Improve Western Australia page or other similar WA articles to featured article (FA) status.
- Other possible candidates for FA:
- Emblems: Flag of Western Australia, Numbat (faunal emblem), Anigozanthos manglesii (Mangles Kangaroo Paw) (floral emblem), Black Swan (ornithological emblem), Gogonasus (fossil emblem)?
- People: John Forrest, C. Y. O'Connor, Moondyne Joe
- History: Batavia (ship), Swan River Colony
- Places: Shark Bay, Fremantle Prison, Murujuga
- Flora and fauna: Ozraptor, the only named Western Australian dinosaur

WikiProject Western Australia maintains and improves articles within the Western Australia category structure.

- We now have our own stub: {{WesternAustralia-stub}}. Continue to use {{WesternAustralia-geo-stub}} for stubs on geographic places in Western Australia; all other stubs in the Western Australia category tree should use the new stub. Hesperian 11:26, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
