If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Mother priscilla baltimore requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://news.stlpublicradio.org/post/archaeologists-dig-clues-african-american-history-brooklyn-ill. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello. I am Diannaa and I am a Wikipedia administrator. Prose you find online is almost always copyright, and cannot be copied here; it's against the copyright policy of this website to do so. All prose must be written in your own words. The Wikipedia copyright policy and its application are complex matters, and you should not edit any more until you have taken the time to read and understand our copyright policy. There's a simplified version of our copyright rules at Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright.— Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 00:36, 27 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Ganbaruby. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Jörð, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.  Ganbaruby! (Say hi!) 06:20, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.

Mr kindheart, you really need to include a citation for that content. Ganbaruby's advice is good. Re-adding similar content without fixing the issue raised can cause problems like edit warring. Your edits to Youtab and a large number of other articles have similar problems. It looks as if you are adding vivid bits of unsourced narrative history to the articles of many mythological and historical figures. May I ask if you know User:Lord julyan of Srp?
In some cases you are inserting this narrative between existing cited text and its citation, thus making it look as though your text is cited. But when you check the citation, the information is not in it. This is really problematic. Please don't do this. Please go back through Special:Contributions/Mr kindheart your edits and put the citations back where they were, at the end of the text they verify. If you must add uncited content, add {{citation needed}} to the end of your uncited content, making sure that your uncited content is in a separate paragraph, so it's clear exactly what content is uncited.
On the whole, though, I'd suggest that you start by finding sources. The sources can be copyright or not; it doesn't matter. What matters is that you do not copy the sources here word-for-word. That is plagarism, and it is not allowed. You can use your own words to describe the facts that you learned from the sources. Then, at the end of your own original words, add a link to your source, or other citation information, so we know where you got the information from. If you are not sure how to cite things, your local librarian can teach you. Add the information-written-in-your-own-words and the citation at the same time.
You don't need to manually add ages at death. We add ages with the Wikipedia:Age calculation templates, which do that automatically.
Please do answer here on your talk page, just click "edit" and type something, then four tilde characters (top-right of your keyboard). HLHJ (talk) 18:32, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Mr. Kindheart, please speak to me. I asked you not to add ages, and you've just added another one; did you not read the message above? Wikipedia:Communication is required. HLHJ (talk) 04:32, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Please see the rules at MOS:HONORIFIC and do not make more edits that add titles. HLHJ (talk) 23:44, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You were mentioned in a discussion at User talk:Lord julyan of Srp, which probably mostly applies to you, too. Just a note so you will see and read it. HLHJ (talk) 00:38, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Priscilla Baltimore

Hey mr kindheart, unfortunately I've had to tag your sandbox Priscilla Baltimore draft for speedy deletion because it was entirely a copyright violation, which isn't allowed. However, you will be pleased to know that HLHJ has created a new article for her, Priscilla Baltimore.

You may have noticed that HLHJ has undone much of your content additions because they lacked a source. This may be frustrating, but the English Wikipedia has a strict policy of verifiability.

I am currently going through your additions of ages at death of various people. In the future, please make sure you ONLY add the age of death when there is a precise date of death and a precise date of birth, make sure the age you give is not one too high (as was often the case in the ages that you added), and please only insert the age after the death date in the infobox (between parentheses, like currently in this article). If there is no infobox yet, you can create it.

You can reply to this by placing some text under this comment. I will see it. Kind regards from PJvanMill)talk( 17:07, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit reversion

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 13:55, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Sphilbrick: This user seems to have multiple copyvio warnings. Is a report to WP:CCI in order? Thanks for your time. Opalzukor (talk) 17:57, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Opalzukor, I think the rule of thumb is 5 or more incidents. Are there that many? S Philbrick(Talk) 23:15, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sphilbrick, Opalzukor: This user is already under quite a lot of scrutiny. I regularly go through his contributions to check for verifiability problems. All of his content contributions before this last week have been undone because they were unsourced; I'm going through last week's edits now, and it seems I've finally gotten through to him that he needs to cite his sources, though he still needs to learn how, and what sources are appropriate.
So I'm not sure how many of his content contributions violate copyright, but so far none of them survive anyway. Kind regards from PJvanMill)talk( 19:45, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
(pinging Sphilbrick, whose username I misspelled. PJvanMill)talk( 19:49, 29 November 2020 (UTC))[reply]
@PJvanMill and Sphilbrick: The user seemingly, as far as I can tell, has 5 revdelled edits, so those edits must fulfill at least one of the criteria. I don't know what those edits were, but maybe one can ask the revdeller? Opalzukor (talk) 07:38, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Opalzukor, I am quite certain those were all for copyright violations. If you want, you can search the deletion log to be sure - the deletion log for the page "Apranik" confirms that at least 3 of the 5 were indeed for copyright reasons. But as I tried to explain above, I don't see much of a point in a CCI case (which involves going through all of the user's contributions to check for copyright violations), as exactly none of this user's content survives to the current version of any article. Kind regards from PJvanMill)talk( 14:44, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@PJvanMill: I see your point. Thanks for your time. Opal|zukor(discuss) 15:45, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sphilbrick, Opalzukor, PJvanMill, the Priscilla Baltimore article was copyvio until I rewrote it. There was also copying from Wikia this month, but I suspect this was self-plagiarism. HLHJ (talk) 02:05, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ixtab

See Talk:Ixtab for my comments. Please complete one of the how-to-edit tutorials (see above and User talk:Lord julyan of Srp) before editing again. HLHJ (talk) 02:05, 25 January 2021 (UTC) instead of constantly removit it then please help me or edit the sources yourself because its getting annoying understable i might add but still its like no body is trying to look at my pov or help me get valid sources and when i do add valid sources i miss one thing and the entire thing gets removed[reply]
